ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Alyssa Huglen, and I'm a writer and reporter based out of Minneapolis.

 

I recently started working as a reporter for Franchise Times, where I cover all things franchising at a national level.

 

Before that, I previously covered the southwest Twin Cities metro as a reporter for the Shakopee Valley News and Southwest News Media. I'm originally from Wisconsin and am a graduate of the School of Journalism & Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (On Wisconsin!), where I had brief stints working on pieces for multiple papers in Madison.

Beyond writing, I love to keep myself busy by journaling, reading, listening to my large record collection, spending time with friends, enjoying comedy and being a '90s -'00s pop culture fanatic.
